Doodseskader

A brutal and unforgiving universe + STAKATTAK (support)

Doodseskader (“death squad”) is the new brand of sonic terror from the minds of Tim De Gieter (Amenra, Every Stranger Looks Like You,...) and Sigfried Burroughs (Kapitan Korsakov, The K., PAARD.,Onmens,...). Seamlessly blending the punishing nature of sludge and metal with elements reminiscent of 90’s grunge and hip hop, Doodseskader only aims to live up to its name.

Their first record “MMXX : Year Zero” (Isolation Records) offers a glimpse into Doodseskader’s brutal and unforgiving universe. Recorded & mixed at Much Luv Studio (Amenra, Brutus, Throane) and mastered by Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Oathbreaker), this ferocious debut marks the arrival of the band after 16 years of friendship as a biblical event.

"Take a burlap bag and put the doom of Amenra in it. Mix it with the noise sound of Kapitan Korsakov and sprinkle that mixture with an industrial sample of ONMENS. Pour some whiskey over it to keep this amalgam in check for the time being and throw some absurdity of PAARD in there. Work the cauldron with the hard-hitting lyrics of Every Stranger Looks Like You ... a little shake, trunks, stumps, and when we then pour the bag on the gray asphalt

... a biblical plague is unleashed on our eardrums. - Dansende Beren ★★★★
